Rob Drummond and I took ourselves to the Point Danger Australasian Gannet colony for a phographic visit.  The gannets began breeding here in 1995 as an expansion from the nearby Lawrence Rocks colony.  Point Danger is a few km south of the city of Portland in south west Victoria.  It is home to a few hundred pairs and is the only mainland colony in Australia.  One or two Cape Gannets have been present on occasion.
