Melaleuca

Extensive button grass plains in the remote wilderness of southwest Tasmania. The last known breeding site of the Orange-bellied Parrot (summer).

Getting There

You have to options: 1: Fly (Around $270pp) 2: Hike (though this will take you about 5 days each way You can stay for free in the hikers huts (bring sleeping bag and food - water is available), and the bird hide is less than a minute away.
