Stirling Ranges

The Stirling Ranges are an amazing dry country national park in southern WA.  They are most famous for their wildflowers, particularly orchids, however birders know the area as one of the best places to see Western Shrike-tit, the western subspecies of Crested Shrike-tit.

Getting There

Acccess is easy by 2WD, and there are lots of walking tracks.  The Stirling Range Retreat is a good place to stay for birds, and they often have Western Shrike-tit in the grounds.
