Silver Gull (Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae) 40 Plenty as usual
Greater Crested Tern (Thalasseus bergii) 1 A few roosting with gulls
Wedge-tailed Shearwater (Puffinus pacificus) 1 A few just off the reef
Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) 1 Usual numbers
Australasian Gannet (Morus serrator) 1 Off the reef
Fluttering Shearwater (Puffinus gavia) 1 A few just off the reef
Little Pied Cormorant (Microcarbo melanoleucos) 1 Smaller numbers
Land Birds 6 species
Sooty Oystercatcher (Haematopus fuliginosus) 14 Good numbers of this sp today, including one very tatty individual
Eastern Curlew (Numenius madagascariensis) 4 Four flying past the reef
Wandering Tattler (Tringa incana) 2 The two visiting Wandering tattlers still around, despite 70mm of rain overnight (that's 3 inches in old money)!
Red-necked Stint (Calidris ruficollis) 1 A few colouring up well on the reef and many still in winter dress
Grey-tailed Tattler (Tringa brevipes) 1 Still a half dozen left
Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres) 1 Small group out roosting
